Mexmast recently completed a project for their customer SHY Automotive to provide them with MHE to move high-end supercars safely into racking storage.
SHY Automotive is a brand new 50,000 sq ft bunker in West Sussex that offers ‘top-tier security and care’ to people looking for somewhere safe to keep their ultra-expensive cars.
When approached about the project, Mexmast reviewed all the options and came up with a solution of using a Combi C6000 with 2.2m deck and 8.5m lift with camera as well as a JLG scissor lift for staff needing to work at heights.
The site can hold up to 590 cars at a time in a bespoke racking storage system built from galvanised steel with each car getting a dedicated metal 2.2 by 4.8 metre tamper-proof bed.
The cars are put onto their own dedicated bed before the forklift lifts and slots them into their position. Each vehicle is lifted into the storage vault using the custom-built forklift supplied by Mexmast.
